Keep trying, I'm not sure what it hates so bad, I'm literally asking for a fully armored woman lol.

If you told me 5 years ago we'd soon have Artificial Intelligence that could produce gorgeous artworksin just a few seconds that look like they were drawn by professionals, but have trouble counting to 10, then I would have called you crazy!

We live in strange times....
Something I find extremely interesting is that sci-fi authors accidentally predicted this phenomenon, of what one might call "dumb" AI: something that can do incredibly powerful technical feats, but which fails at basic critical thinking; something that can extremely quickly and easily identify patterns, but which isn't and can't become sapient.

Specifically, I'm talking about the Enterprise computer in TNG. The Enterprise computer is powerful enough to accidentally create full-blown self-aware artificial intelligence, and yet never once shows any signs of sapience or self-awareness. For a long time, this was seen as sort of a weirdness, how could the computer be smart enough to build a fully sapient AI without being (or at least having the potential to be) sapient itself?

Now we know the answer: The Enterprise-D's computer is a many-centuries more advanced LLM-type "AI". Meaning, it isn't actually "intelligent" at all, it's just extremely, mind-bogglingly good at identifying and reproducing patterns. In the world of Star Trek, LLMs are more or less a research dead end. They're still very useful tools, but they conclusively either don't, or can't, become sapient on their own. It takes a much more complicated and delicate artificial structure to achieve true sentience, and even that process is still fraught (see the faults in Lore vs Data).

What is your prompt?

fantasy watercolor dark age comic book art. A tall, powerful, muscular, robust, strong, female in a volcanic setting. She stands on a rocky outcropping, wearing black armor. She is powerfully built, with short wind blown fire hair, onyx marble skin, and spiral red marking tattoos. Fantasy, gritty, ethereal. Soft focus. Frank Frazetta style. The mood is aggressive.

I would say its 75% sad dogs, 10% of the time its a bare-chested MAN, and 15% of the time it actually tries, but generally its a slim woman.

It has been a while sense I messed around with AI art generators, but that is a very long and detailed prompt. I usually tired to keep it much more simplified.

Also, can the AI art generators iterate now like text generators? i.e. can they take their previous image and improve on it, or are they always starting from scratch? So could ask for an armor clad woman, generate an image, then ask it to add a volcanic background, generate the image, then ask it....

I dont think the free Dall E can iterate.

And yes, I was essentially trying to hammer it with 'this is a larger than typical, more muscular than typical, woman' but well...the tool was built on smut, and yet it blocks what its clearly trying to display, because I'm sure it would be a lot harder to secure those billions in investor dollars if all it was good for was Rule 34. ;)

I'd suggest splitting out the art style aspects, subject (the woman), and the background. Your prompt seems to jump back and forth between them. It might be having a hard time parsing the prompt. I tried your original and got the attached.

I tried rewriting the prompt and had two attempts blocked as inappropriate. Here's the prompt I tried that was blocked. "Fantasy watercolor art. Dark Age comic book art. Frank Frazetta style art. Aggressive mood. Soft focus. A muscular woman wearing black armor. She is powerfully built, with short wind-blown fire hair, dark skin, and red spiral tattoos. She stands on a rocky outcropping in a volcanic setting."

Yeah, I think if I tried, I could get the sad dogs down, but then its likely going to miss what I'm after.

If I had to guess, its the 'skin' and tattoos. The AI probably then gets a bit liberal with how much skin to show, and it blocks itself.
