D&D 3E/3.5 Brainstorming another Fey PC

There's the prestige ranger in UA. You only get 7 levels of casting over 15 levels, but it may be the flavor you want. Calm Animals is one of the pre-reqs. Druid or animal domain.
Looking at it, it might not be compatible with the Geomancer idea, but it could work with a more martial-themed build. Especially if I mix in something like a Battle Trickster.

I’m really at the beginning stages of this. All that I know for certain is that the character’s main alias will be “Willy Nilly”, that I’ll be using the Fey Heritage Feat tree, and that the character will be leaning into the trickster/chaos agent archetype a bit more than my previous Fey PC.

My first question is what (official) D&D PC races lend themselves to a classic Fey character? The list I’ve made so far:

Human
Elf
Drow
Half-Elf
Gnome
Killoren
Hengeyokai
Shadar-Kai
Tabaxi
Kenku

All ideas & commentary welcome.
I made a character in 3.5e that was human, but really short. Like jockey short. Then I gave him fey blooded from the Unearthed Arcana, which gave him a few fey like abilities as he leveled up. I chose Ranger/Sorcerer for his classes. Primarily Ranger with a splash of Sorcerer to give him a few more innate spells to represent the fey blood within. Lastly, there was a feat from a third party source called small stature or something like that which caused him to be considered small size, not medium. He was a blast to play.

There's also the half-fey template from one of the monster books. Can't remember which one offhand.

Hi Danny, I don't know if you are still working on this one, but Bastion Press did a supplement called Faeries. There's a bunch of fey stuff in there.

Bastion Press Faeries
Thanks for the update!

FWIW, until I actually get to use a PC in a game, it lives in a file that can be updated at any time.

And ones that got used and were fun live in a DIFFERENT file, just in case I want to revisit them.

Hi Danny, you are most welcome.

My FWIW, I'm only DMing now and all my interesting character concepts (well, interesting to me and maybe nobody else) are finding expression as NPCs. I have some half-nymphs in the works, was searching for ideas and found myself back in this thread.

Are you in the DFW area or just from there?

I’m an Army Brat originally from New Orleans.

I’ve lived in the D/FW since 1982.
