Merrgsh and Armmegh were brought to my attention not too long ago over on the Candlekeep forums by none other than Eric Boyd himself. Published in Polyhedron #58 (March 1991) as part of a contest to identify a picture drawn by Jim Holloway, Merrgsh and his wolf Armmegh were written (by Wes Nicholson) to be vaguely independent, but I thought, “What if they can be integrated with the orcish pantheon as a whole? How would that look?” And so here we are!

I am still surprised at humans outnumbering drow by more than two to one. I would expect it to be a primarily underdark cult.

"Of the races drawn to the Elder Elemental God’s service, humans make up the largest contingent (56%), with drow (20%) and duergar (14%) making up the most significant secondary groups of worshippers, with the remainder consisting of other dwarves (hill, mountain, and derro; 6%), other demihumans (non-drow elves, gnomes, and halflings; 2%), and humanoids and other various creatures (2%)."
The way I see it, humans are very prolific and numerous compared to other races, and there are LOTS of hidden cults lurking around large cities. :)

The enigmatic yak-men of the Al-Qadim campaign are one of the more interesting “hidden threat” foes in AD&D. They can take over the bodies of humanoids and infiltrate their society in order to undermine and eventually dominate them. Their god, the Faceless God, is even stranger, for it has no known name but is the source of the ability of the yak-men to summon and control the genies of elemental earth, dao.

@AuldDragon, hey dude, love what you're doing.

I've found The Faceless God to be the most enigmatic of the TSR deities.

Except when you get into the meat and potatoes of the lore and he's a bit...less enigmatic and more practical if not mortal in his motives.

It would be if you took the sorta Lovecraftian motives typically associated with mind flayers or aboleths in 'core' D&D but the machinations were just to amass power & wealth.

One request (I mean, I've got a bunch, but that's irrelevant), is there anyway to get your website to add a "night mode" or something similar?
