This is just sad and disheartening. I'll go to my grave still wondering what his plan was to wrap up his plotlines in Wormy.

Obviously you can do what you will with that, but....
If you're interested, every year Luke Gygax does an auction for a charity fundraiser at Gary Con. Many of those attendees are huge old school fans, and there are several celebrities there each year (read: deep pockets). Something like original Wormy art would fetch a huge price, I would think. And it would be for a great cause.
