"...perfect for new players..." Bah, I'd disagree, as some who has played DnD for over four decades, perfect for experienced players!
  • Features an easy-to-read, oversized dice set. My eyesight ain't what it used to be, neither my manual dexterity!
  • D&D Branded Mechanical Pencil. None of this new fangled electronic sheets, mechanical pencils are advanced enough.
  • 3 bonus D6 dice for ability scores. That's all you need, in order.
  • Something else. Uuhh, I forget
  • Includes a handy dice reference guide My memory isn't that great either ;)

I've seen them at our local LGFS. They're overpriced, you'd be better off with a Chessex set and a little bit of Google (latter totally optional).

I picked up the paladin class set of dice from the later post, and they're not all that stunning at the table. Likewise, they lie - the Wizard/Sorcerer set doesn't have enough D6's for a basic fireball ("All the dice you need for Tier 1/2 play my ----).

Overall, I'd take them as a gift but wouldn't buy them for myself.

$20 for my favorite set of eleven dice is a pretty good price for me! I like the extra chonky, big easy to read numbers and extra D20 and D6s.

I actually bought both the red and black sets. Great dice.
