Nope! If you use them with a 2014 character, the math will come out all wrong.

This is actually a perfect item for a green pea. It's everything the new player needs to bring to the table (Including the pencil and character sheet they oh so commonly forget) and the die reference is perfect. My group is made up of half newbies and while they've learned in the year+ we've been gaming together, I remember the early days there was a lot of d10s mistaken for d8s and a lot of d12s mistaken for d20s.
