Deadly Denizens Vol. III Dec Art Preview #4: Last month, I unveiled the forest chimera. In this upcoming issue, you'll get to see the desert variant—a fierce hybrid of giant hyena, giant ibex, and blue dragon! It's a chimera that can knock you prone, rampage, and breathe lightning!

Years ago, the players in my campaign were told that something had taken over the lair of a white dragon that they needed to obtain a scale from. It was very fun springing a white dragon chimera on them, complete with snow leopard and ram heads. Two thumbs up on the chimera variant idea.

Deadly Denizens Vol. III Jan Art Preview #1. I had hoped to include this in the December issue as part of a Winter Special, but unfortunately, we couldn't finish in time and didn't have enough winter-themed creatures ready. As a result, there will only be two icy entries this month, with the next one appearing next week. However, a ferocious New Year-themed creature will also be unleashed this month. For now, the third chimera in the chimera series - a polar one, makes the first art preview for January!

Deadly Denizens Vol. III Jan Art Preview #2. I mentioned last week that January will have two cold-based denizens to match the winter season. Here's the second one, and it is also the second group of giants making their return - the Tundra Giants!

Later this week, I'll showcase the art of this month's Legendary Tier exclusive!

Deadly Denizens Vol. III Jan Art Preview #3: In the first two issues of Volume III, I introduced two Lovecraftian-inspired creatures: the Oculus Malus and the Deep Ones. Continuing with this eldritch horror theme, here's this month's legendary-tier exclusive—the Snallygaster! This nightmarish aberration draws its origins from the folklore of early German immigrants in America. A bloodthirsty predator, the Snallygaster is incredibly swift and strong. Its deadly beak is surrounded by venomous, writhing tentacles, while its fearsome gaze can terrify foes. Adding to its arsenal, it can unleash a piercing screech capable of deafening and stunning all who are unfortunately close enough to hear it.

Deadly Denizens Vol. III Jan Art Preview #5: Chinese New Year is upon us! What better time to introduce you to the Nian—a fiendish, lion-like monster that dwells deep underneath mountains. This fearsome creature emerges during the harshest winters, when the long, frigid nights drive it to the surface in search of unsuspecting prey. It is incredibly ferocious and tough, with hide as hard as iron. And yet it has peculiar weaknesses - it fears and hates bright lights and loud thundering sounds.

Deadly Denizens Vol. III Feb Legendary Art Preview #1: In Volume II, I introduced the lich-like koschei—an undead sorcerer who defies mortality to extend their existence beyond natural limits. When an artificer treads a similar path, it harnesses dark knowledge of both machinery and magic to craft a golem-like suit of armor that encases, animates, and empowers its corpse with full consciousness. The outcome is a Necroficer—a nightmarish half-undead, half-construct of formidable power!

The necroficer will be the exclusive Legendary Tier bonus creature. This awesome art piece is once again rendered by Todor Hristov.
