yeah, okay, cool, just make up stuff i never said, amazing. it's not the opposite scenario because of "muh player bias", it's the opposite scenario because the OP describes teleporting a hostile (edit: grappler, basically) (who would obviously attempt to resist), while you're describing teleporting an ally (edit: who is being grappled). and i never said that wouldn't work - in fact, i said the opposite, that it's such a basic use of the spell that it would obviously work.
Ah ok that might actually make more sense for the kobold, it automatically works without needing a saving throw. There is no question that this works, it is entirely the purpose of Vortex Warp.
I would say teleport other is way too powerful for a 2nd level spell. That is just me.
whether or not the spell is too strong is irrelevant to the question of what the spell does. you can always just ban it.
They'd have to pry vortex warp out of my artificer's cold, dead hands! It's his number one go-to spell.
