I get it. I also don't know why I'd actually care.
You may not care. Different things bother different people. :)

The Morgan Ironwolf style bow across your chest thing has bothered me a little since after I tried walking around with one across my chest as a kid playing in the backyard and the woods behind my house while pretending to fight monsters with a stick sword and the awkwardness and uncomfortableness and impracticality of it became apparent to me. For me the bow across the spiked armor detracts from the coolness of the wight image, it does not add to it.

Good luck trying to slide that bow off the spiked breastplate and over its shoulder in combat. Tactically make it come through a doorway to get to you, it will be awkward trying to maneuver for just the right angle to make it through.

Even disregarding the armor, wearing a bow strung around yourself with the tension of the string holding it to your body would be terrible for the bow.

I like the idea of a boss fight against a whole [donkey] Haunted House. Like straight up 2006 Monster House style.
My immediate thought was this would be a way cooler ending to the Death House dungeon in Curse of Strahd than the one in the book. My second thought was there’s no way that’s a fair fight for a 3rd level party. My third thought was, maybe that’s fine - just escape the house initially, and come back to kill it when you’re up around 10th level and ready to go back to Barovia Village before the final Strahd confrontation.
