As I wrap up 2024, I’m re-reading Dragonlance: Dragons of the Fallen Sun by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, the first book in the War of Souls series where the original authors attempt to repair the narrative damage of the Fifth Age. Throughout the book, there’s discussions around chaos and wild magic. When I read about Power Word Tabletop’s Wild Magic, I thought about this Dragonlance tale where magic is failing, and how that could be incorporated into a 5e campaign with this sourcebook. While Weis and Hickman are not a part of this campaign, you’ll still get the goods including 400 wild magic effects, multiple subclasses, creatures, feats, and more. There’s a lot of punch within the 50 pages of this book. If you want to add wild magic to you 5e campaign, this book may be right for your campaign.
