Level Up (A5E) Multiclassing and maneuvers

Just being sure i am not missing something...

Let's say i have 9 levels in ranger and decided to take 2 levels in rogue. Do I get 2 new traditions and 2 maneuvers at my highest degree (3rd in this case) or 2 1st degree maneuvers? I think it would get 3rd degree maneuvers if I'm reading correctly.
This seems a very good deal, getting 2 maneuvers at my highest degree for a 2 level dip (1 level dip if I dip fighter), specially considering I only ever get 2 maneuvers at any degree before getting access to the next (except again fighter, who gets 3 maneuvers at any degree higher than 1st).

Thanks again

Yes it's a very good deal- it means that taking a single level in fighter is pretty much one of the best choices any maneuver class can make, especially Heralds.
IMO it's too good and requires a nerf, but your mileage may vary!

Yeah, I'm of the same opinion. I wasn't sure about the 2 maneuvers you get when you multiclass, but I am planning to solve the fighter progression issue (where you take a dip in fighter as a rogue or herald for example and you almost double the rate of your maneuvers for the rest of you career). By just doing the same as multiclass.with caster.

I rectified the progression of all martials, except fighters rogues and heralds, to learning new degrees when the prof bonus go up and learn new maneuvers at odd levels. Rogues and heralds then get 3/4 of that progression and fighters get 5/4. It's not perfect yet and I don't expect people to do calculation unless they multiclass, I will write a table for each class, but if you multiclass, you would need to multiply your level and compare to the berserker table (standard table)

I was going also for a similar solution, i.e. a unified progression table where each class gets a different advancement rate as it happens for spellcasting.
Some classes may also get a flat bonus to maneuvers known.
More than to fix some kinks, it's because I like unified systems, and having a separate progression for maneuvers seems quite clumsy to me.
