Level Up (A5E) Is there an Urban Arcana for A5E?

Well, there is quite an amount of 3pp material for Level Up. :)

I own a copy of Purple Martin Games' Manual of Adventurous Resources: Complete and Paranormal Power by @Steampunkette. The former offers several more heritages, cultures, backgrounds and destinies as well as two new classes. The Elementalist and the Wielder. The Elementalist is a nice 5e take on Pathfinder's Kineticist class. :)

I think the theme could be a like mayfairs underground mixed with shadowrun.

Most nonhumans and/or sorcerers were created by multinational corporation via government contract for the military, but were neglected once their tour of duty was done.

What they didn't expect is it to breed true so now a lot of nonhumans/sorcerers are being hunted due to using patented magical genes.

Mix in a bit of toxic spell dump, gurps technomancy and whammo, unique urban arcana world

I will say, there's enough material in the game, now, to do an Urban Fantasy setting between the core rules and the Voidrunner's Codex.

You've got futuristic vehicles and various weapons in the VRC that you could fluff down a little bit in tech level, plenty of gadgets and gizmos, and then the core rules have all the fantasy you could need. Again, just fluff it up to bring it to the modern era and go from there.

A personal favorite idea I've had about magic could be really good for this concept. The idea that magic isn't "Real" but is real. A Fireball spell doesn't actually create real fire but it does generate concussive force and heat, so rather than being a big red ball of fire it's a neon explosion that is clearly 'unnatural' no matter who casts it. It's not -actually- fire, but it kinda looks like blue and pink neon flames.

I don't think there's as much call for 5E D&D Modern from a commercial standpoint. There is the Modern Handbook on GM Binder.

I'd love to see an A5E Oriental Adventures. That's a little tricky to do because of cultural concerns, more practical if the authors are from such backgrounds, but I think it would be significantly more popular than A5E Modern.
