My current game is a modern-ish post-apocalyptic setting featuring a psion, a scientist, a ranger, and a marshal. Works just fine in the right setting.

currently running a campaign with a berserker (tertiary caster), scientist, 2 rogues, and an adept in a quasi steampunk setting. using a lot of weapons and and the mods from VRC. working great.
